The Mole welcomes Rat to his own little home, where unexpected visitors surprise them. And Badger decides that it really is time when Toad must be taken in hand. Kenneth Grahame, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

Welcome to The Classic Tales Podcast. Thank you for listening.

Once again, thank you to those of you who have stepped up and become monthly supporters. You know, I started this podcast because I wanted to create an experience where people could enjoy a quality classic audiobook every week – even if they weren’t familiar with it. Over the years I have often heard from listeners who tell me that they have never heard of this author, or that story, and their lives are better for having experienced it. I find great joy and satisfaction in curating the stories, bringing them to life as best I can, and polishing off the audio to bring you a first class product every week. Thank you for supporting this service. Your monthly 5-dollar contribution really, really helps.

And the neat thing is, it goes both ways. My eyes have been opened to many incredible authors that I had never heard of before. Or if I did, I hadn’t read them. When I began, I was completely unfamiliar with P.G. Wodehouse, H.P. Lovecraft, G.K. Chesterton, Ambrose Bierce, Sheridan Le Fanu, and many others. I only discovered Maurice LeBlanc and his Arsene Lupin stories last year. So thank you for opening my eyes to a world hitherto hidden from me. The Classic Tales isn’t just a podcast. It’s Kickstarter, Audible, and public radio all in one. And you truly help to make it better than I could on my own. So if you haven’t yet, chip in and help ensure that we can keep the good stuff coming. Thanks!

And now, The Wind in the Willows, Part 3of7, by Kenneth Grahame.
