Tommy and Tuppence’s adventures come to a cataclysmic conclusion. Agatha Christie, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

Thank you so much – all of you who have stepped up and become supporters of the podcast, especially those of you who took action during this past week in our last ditch effort to save The Enchiridion. Unfortunately, it’s becoming more and more evident that my expansion to doing The Enchiridion was overly ambitious, and I’m going to need to stop producing it.

I will finish The Hunchback of Notre Dame at some point in the future, and when I do, I’ll send the complete book in its entirety to all of our supporters. But right now it’s time to take stock of the situation and reevaluate the best way to move forward.

The coupon code system works really well. I really like giving so much back to my supporters – that is so important to me. So that’s not going to change. But as far as producing more than The Classic Tales Podcast at this point, we’re just going to have to put those plans on hold.

Again, thank you so much for all of our friends who have become supporters, sent us encouraging emails, left stellar reviews and even called me with their encouraging words. We’ll keep going, and we will expand to revisiting The Enchiridion as soon as we can justify the production cost. I’m not going anywhere; we’re just bringing the bonus content back into the realm of reality.

Thank you so much for your support.

Jane Finn is recovered, and her story leads to many incredible discoveries. Agatha Christie, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

Well, it’s time to get a little real. I’ve been crunching some numbers, (something I don’t do too often), and I’ve discovered something that I thought I’d pass on. It’s kind of critical to the future of the podcast.

Like most of you, I can only work for so many hours in a month. I’ve come to discover that reserving the production time that it takes me to record 4 hours of audiobook content for The Enchiridion and 4 hours of Classic Tales Podcast content is actually costing me $1,000 every month. I don’t know about you, but for me, that’s not very sustainable.

I know that a lot of the podcasts you might listen to probably have big sponsors, or grants, or something that keeps them up and going when the listeners can’t ante up. But I don’t have that. If I don’t have enough supporters, I lose. I hate to say it, but there it is. Believe me, I hate to say it.

Now, I don’t want to cut back on anything. I have some amazing stuff coming up for both The Classic Tales Podcast and The Enchiridion. But I really need your help. If you haven’t already, please become a monthly supporter for 5 or 10 dollars a month. You’ll get a coupon code for 8 to 17 dollars off any audiobook in the store, and access to a 4 hour long portion of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Please don’t think that someone else will step in and do it. I need your help. If you’ve found any value from the podcast over the years, please step up and help us out. I can’t really afford to lose $1,000 a month, every month. I’m not asking for a huge commitment, and I’m not looking to get rich here. I just don’t want to fall any more behind.

And if you’re not in a position to become a supporter at this time, please rate and review us on iTunes, and recommend us to your friends. That is also a big help.

Thank you so much for your support.

Tuppence strikes out to find Tommy, while Tommy’s adventures unfurl. Agatha Christie, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

One of the things that I really love about producing The Classic Tales Podcast is the wide range of stories I can present. I love that we can spend a couple of months with 4 middle-aged women in The Enchanted April, and then do a string of short stories about monsters. We can jump from the jungle with Tarzan to the desert sands of the Arabian Nights. We savor the nonsense of Lewis Carroll and the wit of P.G. Wodehouse. We’ve even delved into the world of Shakespeare, and plunged into the depths of Jules Verne.

Wherever you listen – in your car, during your commute, on a trip, driving your kids to soccer, knitting, napping, or producing artwork, The Classic Tales Podcast can brighten your day, give you cause to contemplate, and maybe appreciate the world of literature just a little bit more. That’s what I mean by awakening your better self. We look at the world a little differently when we look through the eyes of literature. Studies have shown that people who read fiction tend to be more compassionate. Seriously, what more could you ask for?

Please help to keep us fully funded. Click on over to www.thebestaudiobooks.com, and become a supporting member for only $5 a month. You’ll gain access to our premium content in The Enchiridion, and enjoy a coupon code for $8 off any audiobook, every month. If you’ve enjoyed the podcast, if you’ve talked about it, if a story has stuck in your mind for a few days after you’d heard it, please consider helping us out. Thank you so much for helping us out.
