It didn’t work. Stealing the policeman’s helmet did not, in fact, make Bertie’s chum Sippy feel better. In fact, he’s now got 30 days in the stir. And in the meantime, Bertie must impersonate him.  P.G. Wodehouse, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

Welcome to The Classic Tales Podcast. Thank you for listening.

Many, many thanks to those of you who have so generously donated to Basil’s Student Residency fund. In case you haven’t heard, we recently discovered that Basil, my eldest, after four years at our local art academy, was accepted for a month-long residency to The New York Academy of Art. This is a life changing opportunity. We are so very proud of him.

We’ve come up a bit short, and we need some help to get him there.

We need to raise $6,000, and we are over halfway there. Thank you so much for helping him out. We’ve been blown away by the generosity of our parents, friends, family members, and especially YOU! We’ve done what we can, but things have kind of slowed down. We’re still $2,000 shy of what we need, and to get us over this final hump, I’ve cooked a little something up.

I’ve recorded the fifth book in the Arsène Lupin series: The Crystal Stopper. I’ve read quite a few of these mysteries, and this one is seriously one of the best. So, here’s what I was thinking. I’m willing to give a free download of the audiobook to each and every donor who donates to Basil’s New York Student Residency Fund, once we reach our goal.

So please step up and help our boy to an experience of a lifetime. You can find a link in the description for today’s podcast. And again, thank you so very much.

Thank you so very much. It really wouldn’t happen without your help.

Biffy has fallen in love. Well, he fell in love. Then he lost the girl. Like, he couldn’t find her. Then he forgot her last name. And the name of his hotel. Is it really “better to have loved and lost”? P.G. Wodehouse, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

We’ve done what we can, but things have really slowed down. We’re still $3,000 shy of what we need to send our boy to New York for the experience of a lifetime.

Basil has actually been on the podcast team. He started proofing the podcast for me when he was in seventh grade, and he did it all through high school. So, if you’ve listened to Pride and Prejudice, Uncle Silas, or the first Arsène Lupin stories, you’ve heard his work.

I’ve set up a Go Fund Me account for Basil, and all of the proceeds go directly to fund his residency. It’s actually not connected to me or the podcast at all. It all goes to help Basil make this next milestone in what is sure to be an illustrious art career. The link can be found in the description of this week’s episode.

Rocky, a wistful poet, is forced to trip the light fantastic every night in order to keep his aunt safely sequestered. Jeeves has a scheme that shows that one man’s poison is another man’s pleasure. Let’s just hope it lasts. P.G. Wodehouse, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

Well, this week, we had one of those amazing moments of a parent’s life. My oldest son, Basil, after four years at his art academy, has been accepted for a month-long residency to The New York Academy of Art. He even got a merit-based scholarship. This is a major milestone in his art career. We are so proud of him.

But here’s the thing. We’ve come up a bit short. We need some help to get him there.

We told him to reach for the stars, and he made it. He even got a scholarship. But we are $6,000 short. If you could pitch in a few bucks, and help get Basil to his New York residency we would really, really appreciate it.
